Demolishing the Williams sisters!

Go Justine Henin! WOO! She demolished both the Williams sisters! Yeah! WOO HOO!

versus Venus Williams - 7-6 (7-2) 6-4

versus Serena Williams - 7-6 (7-3) 6-1

YEAH!

The last person who demolished both sisters in a single tournament was Martina Hingis in 2001.
I guess I will head down to my usual spot late this afternoon, sip coffee and draw.
I was at Kinokuniya at Ngee Ann City and Borders for a few hours last night. I browsed before heading home early. I was dead beat.

Army Open House 2007: Mortar Tracked Carrier (MTC) II

The tracked mortar carrier is tolled by an armoured Bronco vehicle which is very similar to the BV-206 in conception.

A 7.62mm GPMG is mounted atop the armoured cab.

The Super Rapid Mortar System from Singapore Technologies Kinetics. Capable of up to 10 rpm.

120mm automatic mortar. Loading is still via hand, otherwise everything is automatic. This is unlike the fully automatic 50mm German mortar of World War II which has bombs loaded in strips of five.

No spades for anchoring the 120mm mortar.

Quad Igla launchers. Note the sidemount of a 7.62mm GPMG. I wonder as to the radar container and the provision for reloads. I would imagine that the reload is done manually.

Laminate armour to deflect HEAT rounds and missiles. The welding of the laminate armour boxes can be seen on top of the turret. One can extrapolate the thickness.

The Rheinmetall 120mm is 44 calibre lengths.

A low-flying Chinook helicopter just flew by. I could see the Singapore flag on the fuselage.

Army Open House 2007: Unimog Maintenance Vehicle

Official designation? I don't know. Function? I don't know either. This is a maintenance vehicle of some sort mounted on an Unimog. How do I know that it is maintenance? A soldier told Kelvin and I.
