England 2 Croatia 3: McClown gets the Sack!

After receiving a reprieve when Israel beat Russia, England should have at least gotten a draw against Croatia which had already qualified for the Euro 2008. However, under McClown's leadership, England faltered. Even then, McClown was still resisting resignation, insisting that he would stay on. I guess there was a clause with a couple of million pounds if he were to be forced to leave.

At least, there is a bright spot to all this. McClown is finally getting the sack according to the Sun. YESYESYES!

Finally McClown is sacked and of I am not mistaken he is also the shortest reigning England manager lasting for 18 months only. What a clown he is taking on the England job and making such a mess. Those who hired him should be sacked too for their short sightedness and idiotic recruitment.

As for the players majority are crap and with the pay cheque they get no wonder their heart and soul are not there playing for England. Overpaid, no skill, good for nothing bunch of wankers. They don't deserve that kind of big pay cheque. Also if I am not mistaken English players get the highest combine pay cheque by comparison to other national teams.

Serve them right and bring on Martin O'Neill.

d;-(

You're right, he's the shortest reigning manager and arguably having the worst record too.

I guess when the FA chose him, they opted for continuity as he had been a head coach for the previous manager. Sadly, his limited vision and his lack of ability with Middlesborough was already all too obvious.

Like you said, they don't deserve that huge pay cheque.

O'Neill! Yeah!
