Angus McBride is known for his historical illustrations for volumes published by Osprey Publishing and the Lord of the Rings illustrations for the old Middle-Earth roleplaying game (MERP). 'Warriors and Warlords' is an excellent hardcover volume that collected a lot of his best illustrations. McBride's figures are wondrous concoctions which are created mainly in gouache.
