Kraftwerk1

"Kraftwerk1 was organized under near-utopian tenets that Mr. Wehrli said are largely successful. Residents collaborate on maintenance projects, group dinners, film nights and a video library, to name a few of the co-op’s innovations."

Cleansing

"A person’s soul could be cleansed only when his domestic surroundings were purged: “Soon the streets of the town will shine like white walls. ... Then fulfillment shall be ours.” "

Manchester Derby

A wonderful day of celebration! Manure (Manchester United) lost! There may not be a season left, at least, it finishes with such a note. Yes!

Phony money

"Sooner or later — within a few years, I predict — this latest Wall Street bubble, inflated by an egregious flood of phony money from the Federal Reserve rather than real economic gains, will explode, too."

A scene of desolation

I was in the office of a failed iPhone app developer. The place was abandoned in a hurry. There was junk everywhere including half-finished boxes of Chicken in a Biskit. Most curiously, there were a pile of Windows 98 licences too. Why on earth would people buy these things?

In addition, there was lots of empty boxes of Mac Air laptops, Canon lenses, Sony handicams and so forth. It would appeared that someone was spending a lot of money towards the last days.

There were also iPhone app development manuals, an Xcode 3 manual and other assorted junk especially tomes of Yellow Pages phone books.
