I was at the Doc Green's Gourmet Salad and Grill last night. I enjoyed the salad. However, something was very long as it took them forever to serve their dishes. Salads and sandwiches for heaven's sake. I think they had only ONE chef. Until the service is improved, I doubt if I would be returning.

I swam my usual twenty laps this morning. The waters was cool and refreshing. I spent a lot of time writing my diary and reading 'The Ghost Brigades' today.

The sign of a poor restaurant is their slow food serving.

If it is slow and taste shite avoid it by all means as you might even be eating "left overs" from previous days.

Also watch out for so called fashion trend of "fine" dinning where you will be served "designer" food that does not even fill you up. The fine dinning is merely a gimmick to overcharge and to ripe off people who want to be seen as "posh" and willing to pay the amount to be serve the celebrity designer crap.

P/s: once I went to a French restaurant with friends and we paid £30 each for a 3 course meal. Well my impression is that the portion is small and the food is average. What a load of shite. Gimmick yes but to pay £30 just because they are French restaurant ... damn! I am an idiot to try it but never again.
