I wish the National Library in Singapore would open on public holidays

I wish the National Library in Singapore would open on public holidays and have longer operating hours in the weekends.

As it is, I work a 5.5 day week. My weekend only really begins on Saturday afternoon. The library closes at 9:00 pm. When I arrive there after some rest sometimes after dinner, there would barely be any time to browse. I wish the library would close at midnight on weekends.

That's definitely a worthwhile effort to have longer opening hours in the library.

As a public library, it should make access to its collection easier to the public.

It also means it's more accessible to a wider demographic. Like yourself, or families. The library should be a destination, not an after-thought.

I think libraries should be opened 24 hours. That gives young people the option to read instead of ... say go partying ... ha ha ha.

Seriously, I really think it should be 24 hours. Maybe tune into a more comfortable lighting. More relax kind of music. Reduced staffs.

I visit a library in Albany, California that is open on Sundays. Finally, someone figured it out.

You would think that they would do that but somehow, they had not.

I agree that it should be more accessible, not an afterthought.
