Stamps

Is stamp collecting a preserve of the old? I don't collect them but I suspect that this may be a declining hobby due to the advent of electronic mail over the last decade.

Yeah, collecting stamps is definitely a declining hobby. It's a classic.

Thanks for advising me on careers, would like to talk to u about it further on msn... if it is ok with u, add me! bay_bee_tea@hotmail.com

I've tried career counselling, they are all too general. Would prefer to speak to someone actually in the field.

Mind you, I have never worked in the accounting nor finance industry. I was in IT for years. Sure, I have added you. See you online some time.

I have wondered about the allure of collecting things.

Humans in general are pack rats. We like to collect things, and it is not limited to tangible ones either.

For example, I still collect M:TG lands, and random cards, although I do not know why :D

Thanks for adding me! Doesn't matter, we can chat about other things

Stitched stamps sounds so... sooo nice! Like badges!

And i am a guilty little pack rat too. I can NEVER throw away things. I collect everything

Thanks Kelvin. The Eastern European ones are quite something. The Hungarian and Czech ones. Of course the topper are the Austrian stitched ones! Whoa!

I am utterly astonished.

Sue Lin, yeah, no prob. Sure, we can chat about other things. Just one thing, my MSN is on almost all the time. My setting is 999 minutes on ACTIVE. So, sometimes, it gives an illusion that I am there all the time! Heheheheh. I can understand the collecting mentality. I used to collect 12-inch records. Vinyl. Depeche Mode, Erasure, Alphaville, etc.
