At Fish & Co and Bakerzin at Suntec City

This was a dinner with old friends who were old colleagues. We had dinner at Fish & Co. and Bakerzin last year and we would usually meet up a few times a year.

We had last been in the same office over a decade ago, suffering the same frustrations. All the same, it was great when one finally left that hotbed of politics and favourites. A most 'Dilbertesque' workplace. I remembered a pre-meeting to prepare for a meeting. It was surreal.

Time had flown then and in an eyeblink, it had been more than a decade since we all left.

I think the last time we spoke was in 1993/4.

Hahah. The eye bags have been there for a decade. It's the effects of managing more than ten projects at one single go without enough resources. Eye bags will never go away. It's tissue, flesh. Heheh.

1993/4 is a long time!

No, I haven't seen Kenny since. You reminded me of him only now. I had completely forgotten who he is.

Bloody hell! Managing multiple projects with peanuts damn! I bet they are draining your blood without you noticing ;-)

What do you mean you cannot remember? He was working for Singapore Airline lahhh ... he was the computer guy lah. I can still remember you taking a drastic steps to study IT so we thought you were either loaded or having too much time on your hand by studying again.

Glad to see you doing well after so many years.

Anyway, if I were to visit SingLand I will let you know in advance.

It got worse later. The pay wasn't good.

Regarding a second degree, I don't think it was a good move. An MSc in IT or MBA would have been better. My mistake. No regrets. Learn and live.

Hahah. Do let me know if you are over. Hey, do you have a Facebook account?

MBA!!!? Overrated and over-hyped. If MBA is so good why not ask those MBA graduates to run a Kopitiam from scratch to see if they can make it since they are so "business" minded.

I say you made the right choice put it this way if you were going to spend the money on MBA, you would be better off studying an MSC in IT to be frank or any specialist subject.

Nothing to regret really. Some people start life earlier while others a bit late. The journey is the same. To search for happiness.

I don't use Facebook as I don't see the need so far. I want a simple life.

Yes, if I am in SingLand I will let you know in advance. Might be good to see some of my ex-colleagues, if they have not been fired yet, in SingLand too.
