Odd House

Here is an odd-looking house in land-scarce Singapore. Maximising the use of the alloted land.

I quite like this picture. No idea, of course, at what other angles you could have shot it. But, to my eye, this is perfect.

The blog is interesting. There is diversity in your posts, yet it all somehow seems to come around. Your look at the big world, which you share the intricacy of your own little world, is a perfect mix.

If you have a chance to come for a visit to my little corner of the blogosphere some time I'll look forward to see what you think.

Cheers!

I doubt the owner has managed to maximise the space based on the design of the house. Should be better off with 3 floors without that ugly roof.

d;-)

Kilroy, thanks. It was actually a larger piece which I cropped. There was a tree on the left and a mosque on the right.

Thank you for your kind words. I do keep a personal diary which is quite distinct from the blog I keep. I guess, this was meant originally as a place to put up some sketches as requested by a few friends. Eventually, it became a sort of blog just about anything.

Thanks. I will go visit.

Anonymous, you are right about space, since it is a high-angled triangular structure. However, for floor area, the builder could have maximised his or her plot ratio?

Kilroy, I was just thinking to myself of the title of your blog. Yeah, 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas'.Then, I saw the bit about Hunter S. Thompson.

That's quite a madcap book. May I know if you have read William Burroughs?

What of Doors of Perception?

And what are your opinions on them?

I have always wanted to watch the Terry Gilliam's take on 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' but somehow, I missed it. Oh well.
