A call from Standard Chartered Bank

Finally, someone from Standard Chartered Bank called me and he told me that he has personally put my name and number from the DO NOT CALL list and has sent email to all the promotion companies that the bank has engaged. Thank goodness!

yo bro, as much as i empathise with you on the phone calls which must be irritating the hell out of you, i can't wait to read on your blog that you just got another of such calls.

Schadenfreude.

Good job! Finally someone sensible from a bank! Still, I guess it is the entire process that turns people off.

Well man, True Fitness is now hounding me with calls. Heheh. You will hear more about them.

Tim, I won't know until the next call.

Darkspore, like I said earlier to Tim, I won't know until the next call.

Yes, you are right, it is the process. The aggravation, the waiting between the calls, explaining oneself to each officer on the line and all that. A massive waste of time and energy.
