The British has a series of names for their naval missiles that is of this nature:

Sea Slug, Sea Wolf, Sea Dart, Sea Eagle, Sea Cat and Sea Skua.

I think Malaysia should purchase the Sea Eagle as well.

Heheheh.

The missile is helicopter-launched and will have to be guided by the chopper's radar while it illuminates the enemy ship. ie. The chopper hovers while it guides the missile in.

It's a proven missile. It was used to disable a few Argentine vessels in 1982. It was used to destroy the Iraqi navy in 1991. The Iraqi navy was mainly composed of missile-armed fast attack craft, corvettes and so forth.

it's got many different modes of firing. one of which is the ripple mode. so four of these missiles could be on your way within seconds of each other, all riding on potentially coded laser beams. hard to get them away. chaff resistant as there is man-in-loop and the reaction time is so little, hard-kill options are tough.
