L.A. Confidential, a convincing police drama with strong plotting, had me mesmerised by the myriad characters, the swift pacing and plotting. Eleven years ago, I had missed this film which was based on a book of the same title by James Ellroy. I finally picked it up on DVD at HMV for $14.95 this afternoon. 8/10.

Hahaha. Tim, Kim Basinger did seem somewhat weathered. The make-up could not conceal the many many lines on her face.
