Marmon-Herrington Mark VI Armoured Car
The Harmon-Herrington armoured cars were used in large numbers by the South Africans in the Desert War in World War II. The Mark I, II, IIIs were machine gun armed 4 x 4 vehicles with a truck layout.
The Mark IV was an improved model with a 2-pounder (40mm) gun and 2100 were built.
The Mark VI mounted a 6-pounder (57mm) gun. Two of these were built and orders for over 1000 were cancelled when the war ended.
