Comatose

Front Line Assembly's 'Comatose' single came in the mail today. Woo!

I picked this one up from an eBay auction.

Wow, that's some great cover art. Would it be safe to say that you're FLA's biggest fan? I'll be ordering their "Corroded Disorder" cd (the compilation of early stuff) from Amazon soon. I unwisely sold it when I had no $. I love their old stuff, "Dark Dreams", etc.

Steve, I would hesitate to say that considering that I have over 100 Depeche Mode CDs including bootlegs, and several thousand other CDs. I guess I'm just picking up some older Front Line Assembly material because the main remix (the one they remixed themselves) is often stronger than the track on the album. Witness the 'Vanished' single. The remixes are great and they have built up on the single.

Actually, I received new Negative Format, Funker Vogt, Decoded Feedback and God Module CDs just last week and have been listening to them quite a bit.

I think you know Dave McKean (of the Sandman comics cover fame) did most of the Front Line Assembly covers? Thus, they have his signature hallmark? His style is quite evident.

No kidding! Sandman's some good stuff. Nice choice for a cover designer. Good luck with your musical aquisitions!

The fact is that McKean did a lot of the Sandman covers in the pre-Photoshop days! He didn't paint them digitally. He couldn't manipulate them digitally then. Today, yeah, many designers can do that in a technical sense.
