The Morris Light Reconnaissance Car Mark I was first produced in 1940 with one thousand built. The weapons mount was a machine gun and a second machine gun or a Boys .55 anti-tank rifle. Subsequently, another one thousand and fifty of the Mark II were built in 1942.
