Somehow I missed a lot of your blog and having now found it, I plan to revisit often. Your paintings and drawings are lovely and full of feeling. The comments and poetry you display are well worth remembering, and your willingness to share your technique and methods is another gift you bring to those who pass by here.

Lovely colors. I really love how the colors are added but the black still remains. I am working on some women drawings like that with pastels outlined in charcoal. Beautiful! Brandi

I have a hard time putting into words what your works make me feel. It is like there are several paintings layered together here and you can feel them on many levels. Whispers.

This has such a fresh and wild feeling to it - I think it's the dramatic sky against the tall dark trees. Both the trees and the sky ruly dwarf the figure. I enjoy seeing your work in color - it adds a different layer to your technique that softens it in contrast to the many fine lines in your pen drawings. Both are wonderful!

Thank you Ginger. I plan to scan and put up a lot more older work. I haven't been feeling well lately, hence the lack of drawings. As for sharing techniques, sources, references and ideas, definitely! I love seeing other people's illustrations too! Well, I didn't write any poetry. I put up quotes and lyrics from pop songs in the blog entry.

Thanks Valgalart!

Holly, thank you.

Thank you Carla. I am trying to rediscover my lost skills in watercolour. And also, I am experimenting with mixed media. It's a first for me. I think there could be more to this actually. The image on screen turned out better than I thought it would.

Thank you Brandi. I will go see the images you drew of women. Pastels and charcoal? Those aren't easy (at least to me).

Thanks Alina. I love those images of buildings of San Francisco that you have drawn. I haven't visited SF in fifteen years. Heheh.

Thanks Idahl. You are very observant. There are indeed quite a few layers. From ink lines to water colours to Copic marker ink after.
