Pet Shop Boys 'A Life in Pop'

I watched this 'documentary', A Life in Pop on the Pet Shop Boys last night. It's an excellent recounting of their career if you are familiar with their accomplishments. This includes their staging of Eisenstein's 'Battleship Potemkin' in Trafalgar Square with them and the Dresden Sinfoniker orchestra providing musical accompaniement, their musical 'Closer to Heaven' in West End, TV performances (Top of the Pops), appearances with Dusty Springfield and Liza Minelli, their splendid pop albums and more.

There is also mention of how they deconstructed U2's single into a thumping disco classic and combined it with the most trifle of Broadway songs... Simply brilliant!

Of course, I picked this one up at Borders with a 30% off coupon.
