Water Pipes
Huge water pipes belonging to PUB. These pipes conveyed water from MacRitchie and the Pierce Reservoirs to the pumping and treatment plants. They were of great strategic importance then and now. In the Second World War, the Japanese army had swiftly overran the reservoirs, leaving the town centre devoid of water. Thus, General Percival surrendered.
