The Tower of the Queen

A tribute to Terry Gilliam's work of genius 'The Brothers Grimm'.

"Don't upset the teacher
Though we know he lied to you
Don't upset the preacher
He's gonna close his eyes for you"

Thanks Virginiajoe. I will keep your advice about painting the pieces in mind.

I used an inkjet and printed out a small version of this piece. Following that, I use Copic markers and coloured this piece last night. I will put it up in a few weeks' time.

Thank you vfm4. I do try to create an imaginery world of secret gardens, lost forests, solitary lakes in forgotten valleys.

I have painted this piece using markers and will probably put it up in a month's time. I prefer to spread the drawings or blog posts as I post too much already!

Hi Chuang, I was looking here and there in your blog and had to leave a word of appreciation. A wonderful tribute to one of my favorite directors!!! Well done!!

LDahl, thanks. This one was a pleasure to draw!

And Gilliam does have an amazing sense of the theatre of the absurd. And also humour. Comparing him to Burton, I find Burton too commercial and contrived.
