A Verdant WorldIn the stillness, she could hear the approach of the Demiurge. Is it a portent of the End?
'The rather dour young man on the Ducal Throne, who could not yet have been thirty, leaned forward with one hand on the arm of it, and stared at Ash with eyes so dark as to be black. the picture looks desolate..... u visited my blog before, i am here to say thanks.. :)
Thanks O'Feline! That is a very apt description.
I used to hike quite a bit in the Yorkshire Dales, the Pennines and also possibly the North York Moors area. Desolate, well, I love the solitude of those long hikes.
I saw some of VanGogh's drawings recently on line and this reminds of them. There is so much movement to your lines, you can feel the landscape come alive. And thank you so much for your comment on my drawings.
indeed, van Gogh comes to mind.. i think it's the movement of the treebark..
Janey, I read on the New York Times of Van Gogh's ink drawings and they were amazing. Sometimes, they complement his pieces, preceding or succeeding his painted pieces. Thank you for your kind comments, Janey. I do love drawing forests, trees and landscapes.
vfm4, thanks again. I use lines and dots to define a lot of the textures and light. However in this case, it was mostly lines.
