At the Northwestern Edge of MacRitchie Reservoir II

We skirted along the edge of the reservoir at a bristling pace. I could feel my heart beating hard. We had stopped once or twice to catch our breath and to drink. Fortunately, we were reasonably fit and it was really a joy to experience nature at such close proximity.

The view from the northwestern edge of the reservoir was breathtaking. A spot of tranquility within the hustle and bustle of urban Singapore.

We were at the bund between the reservoir and the swamp. We halted and sat and enjoyed the breeze.

The bund was separated from the other bank by a gate and deep waters. It was a pity as that would have made the trip a lot simpler.
