At the Northwestern Edge of MacRitchie Reservoir I
The vegetation was impassable at places unless one cleared it. However, we did find old trails made by a myriad number of unknown groups previously. This had afforded us a means through the dense foliage.
Even then, it was tedious and tiring. It was tantamount to clearing an obstacle course at every step literally.
Some time later, we had reach a bank across from the Bukit Golf Course. There was a narrow strip of land a breakwater of sorts that divided a swampy area from the MacRitchie Reservoir. There was a gate that controlled the drainage of the swamp into the reservoir.
