The Depths of the Rainforest

Shortly after we had ventured into the rainforest, we met two elderly Caucasian gentlemen. These men were in shorts, T-shirt and sandals. All they had with them was a small pair of snippers which they used to great effect in clearing a path.

We had questioned them on the directions to the ruins of the Shinto temple or shrine. And they had described a path leading there. We set off at a relentless pace. Tony cleared the way with a parang. The heat was getting oppressive. We had foreseen this and we had adequate water.

You could say that.

We have a more ambitious target.

With a PARANG! They should haul you guys in for illegal gathering. And being a menace to nature!

Psst, we also brought alone a cane just in case we encounter pesky brats!
