I do recall that the buildings at Marina Village had huge cracks at their base when I visited the place sometime in the mid-nineties.
I'm not surprised if there are some problems with the reclaimed land. However, Suntec City and Marina Square appear to be faring well. Ditto for the Esplanade.
The Clarke Quay area has come a long way since. It was an area of old warehouses just a decade back, believe it or not.

Singapore is really well developed but I wonder if the island will sink if there are too many big buildings around ... hheheheh ...

P/s: I like the Quayside pics though. I did not see any of those when I was there in 1995/6.
