Reading
I rummaged through my sister's bookshelves and found these two engrossing gems. She had recommended them a while back. 'Against the Odds: The Remarkable Story of Risk' by Peter L. Bernstein and 'F.I.A.S.C.O.' by Frank Partnoy.
The stories in 'F.I.A.S.C.O.' and 'Liar's Poker' reminded me superficially of two people who were once friends with each other. They were ambitious and they were going to grow up as Big Swinging Dicks and make lots of money. Somehow along the way, things happened and they did not. The two of them competed and became enemies. From what I have heard, one of them remained a neurotic loser while the other grew up and became a human being in the meantime.
