I am still waiting for my NS MR letter. So, as suggested by a fellow reservist, I went to the army IPPT booking system and entered my IC.
WOO!
I got the response:
Unable to process IPPT/RT/IPPT Prep Trg booking
You are ineligible for IPPT due to Type of Service (e.g. MINDEF Reserve or NS Disruption).\
However, I will continue to keep fit. I ran about four kilometres this week. Not enough. I should be running between ten to twenty a week.

i assume you're going for cardio fitness and not leg toning/fat reduction? long distance running helps best with the fat burning
4 kilometers? Get back out there! I run 4 miles every time I go, and I'm nearly ten years older than you.
Also, hit the iron, it's a must as you age if you want to stay really fit.
Ian, I do want to lose some weight. I will run further and more often.
4 km is barely enough.
