My goodness. YOUR kitten sure looks as scrawny and insipid as you. - Silver.

Mr.Silver, remember your Kuo. You must not tempt your Kuo as your Kuo may go out of balance.

Merv, she's hiding in every hidey hole she can find these days! She was roaming around the kitchen this morning...

She's just too cute:> I wish I had pictures of my cats when they were that tiny - now they're just plump middle aged ladies (but still quite lovely). I just came across a photo of my German shepherd dog when she was a little pup. She's now 2 years old and it's hard to imagine she was ever that small!

Thanks for your comment this week on my IF post. I especially enjoyed your remark about the diferences between the novel and the film - I didn't want to elaborate too much on the specifics because I wanted to keep the post short and uncomplicated (and I wasn't much in the mood to write an essay on a weekend morning). I think that the central question of each work is different - Dick's is about reality while Scott's is about humanity - but both works use the humanity issue as a device to examine their relative questions.

I also enjoyed reading your posts about Shanghai. I show my 10th grade students Spielberg's Empire of the Sun which was filmed in Shanghai. There is an additional documentary on the DVD about the actual filming of the movie, which is really fascinating. In many of the kids' screening reports, they remarked that they were never really aware of China's role in WWII...a clear example of how history books put an emphasis on some events and not others. I am always pleased when kids are motivated to learn more than what's presented to them in books.

Anyway - this is a long post - sorry! Now I need to get ready for work:> I hope you'll post some artwork soon!
