Pace

I need to increase my pace. I ran 2.4 km last night with a good pace in the initial three rounds. The final three took much too long.

I need to also do sprints and pull-ups. Groan...

Just managed to improve my time by 12 seconds. Ack.

I'm really unfit now. The recent two years were bad for me.

I don't think I can pull now!

Why don't you go running?

Whenever I wanted to run, there must be something else that needs to be attended. I guess excuses got the better of me. Perhaps I should start running before my RT...

I know what you mean. For a long time, I was working late. I was in IT. I was in a dotcom. I was in this, I was in that. It was horrid. The work hours didn't allow me to run. And even if I could, it would be 11:00 pm at night! Running along Lower Delta Road to Tanglin Road then... I could still remember those days. Running in the dark along those roads.

This time, I started too late. My unit was disbanded a few years back. And I supposedly have no more ICT. And the trainers told me that I wouldn't have to do IPPT. I shouldn't have believed them, I should have checked with the chief clerk. As such, when I found out, I have only a month or so left. It's probably too late. I may get to have a government-paid exercise class at the friendly local RT centre for the first time. Ack.

I guess I have enjoyed way too much mocha frappuccinos, milkshakes, Ben and Jerry ice-cream, Oreos, this two years and have been unhealthy, gaining weight. This is good for me in a way. Oh well. What can I say?
