Doctored Images on Reuters?

AK sent me an article about a doctored image used by Reuters. There were apparently more doctored images as a blog, Little Green Footballs, has found. Reuters publishing doctored images?

"In the most recent in a series of online controversies to take on the mainstream media, a series of Web sites discredited a Reuters photograph of the fighting in Lebanon, forcing the news agency to issue an apology and remove the image from their archives.

The photograph by Adnan Hajj, which shows plumes of smoke rising from downtown Beirut after an IAF bombing, appeared to have been doctored to show more intense smoke and destruction over the city. "

And guess what? Reuters is not contrite.

"photo editing software was improperly used on this image. A corrected version will immediately follow this advisory. We are sorry for any inconvenience."

Well done Reuters.

Islamic terrorists infiltrating news agencies? Well, it's not needed. The news agencies are doing it for themselves. Attacking Israel.

And there are more suspect photos. The worst aspect of this is that Reuters will not be investigating apparently.

The anti-Israel media bias is so evident. It is not merely amongst British broadsheets, one can also see it in Reuters. And also the photographers and people they hire. Oh well.
